Charlotte’s Web: “A Director’s Meeting”. 1952.

The Original ink drawing as reproduced in Charlotte’s Web by E B White (New York: Harper & Bros, 1952), illustrated on page 88. Depicts the gathering of all the characters by the barn entrance to decide on what Charlotte was next to spell out on the web: “Terrific” was then decided upon.

Measures 9 x 7-1/2 inches on larger paper, matted and framed.

Charlotte’s Web is a major classic of children’s literature. The novel about the friendship between a pig, named Wilbur, and Charlotte, a barn spider, where the latter’s spinning words at the barn saves Wilbur from the slaughterhouse.
